You may have seen the billboard, heard the jingle or watched the ad; whichever it is, you definitely know something big is coming. The Calabar Entertainment Conference, organized by Hit 95.9 FM, is the biggest round table discussion in the South-South area of Nigeria aimed at discovering, rebranding and redefining the entertainment industry in the region and country at large.

Inspired by the need to boost the entertainment sector within which it operates, the masterminds behind Hit 95.9 FM decided to augment the regular government entertainment events in the state with something just as productive for the entertainment industry to thrive in the region. Hence, the birth of the Calabar Entertainment Conference, CEC.

Over the last four years, CEC has been a captivating platform for both learning and networking for entertainment lovers; bringing together the big shots in the industry and the consumers of what they offer to one platform to discuss how the sector can grow and also provide a sustainable and viable environment for practitioners all over the country. This year’s edition would mark the fifth anniversary of CEC.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly crippled many sectors globally, however the entertainment industry was arguably the worst hit. CEC could therefore not have come at a better time. The Conference brings together people from all facets of the media and entertainment industry; Social Media, Brand Strategists, Music, Radio, Television and Comedy- all to a round table discussion.
