Klassiq Cruze: A Journey of Resilience and Rhythm
Meet Klassiq Cruze, born Akunjor Samuel Nton, a passionate and versatile artist hailing from Ikom L.G.A, Cross River State, Nigeria. Born in 1998, he is the only surviving child of the late Dr. Akunjor Agbama Akunjor.
Growing up as an orphan, music became his greatest solace. “With so many scars and pain, the only thing that comforted me was creating melodies—turning each phase of my life into music,” he reflects. Inspired by icons like DMX, Eminem, Michael Jackson, M.I Abaga, and others, Klassiq Cruze transformed his life’s hardships into powerful art.
The early loss of his father and the challenges that followed ignited his passion for music—not just as a form of escape, but as a way to build a lasting legacy.
Breaking Into the Scene
Klassiq Cruze began his music journey officially in 2016, debuting with a cypher titled Street Anthem alongside rapper Nice Chriz. By 2018, he started gaining attention with Child’s Play, a track featured on various platforms.
His sound fuses Hip-Hop, Drill Trap, Afrobeats, Afroswing, R&B Soul, and Dancehall, showcasing his dynamic artistry. Influences from Fela Kuti, Eminem, Nas, Jay-Z, Skepta, Central Cee, and Wizkid have shaped his musical identity.
“My style is unique. It’s driven by real-life experiences, raw emotions, and the energy that comes alive during production,” he says. Still, one major challenge has been pushing his sound onto the global stage—a mission he’s passionately pursuing by investing more in his craft.
